CASTORS & GLIDES

We choose orbit style castors, widely regarded as the very best allowing 360 degree movement for cleaning purposes. If you require glides, please do not hesitate to tell your stockist.
Please state when ordering if castors are not required.

BATTERY BACKUP

For peace of mind, power-operated chairs have an emergency battery back-up system. Fitted as standard to  Duo Risers is a Quadruple Battery Back-up System. Batteries must be changed after emergency use and checked periodically. Battery back-ups are not fitted to Patented lift seats such as Appleby, Preston and Lancaster designs.
ROYAMS ARE EXTREMELY SAFETY CONSCIOUS

Royams believe in safety first. All materials used comply with the 
strict requirements laid down in the Furniture & Fittings Fire & Safety Regulations Act of 1988.


Where electric motors are used they are concealed, isolated, insulated and splash proof. Hand control units are of a low voltage and are thoroughly tested for absolute safety. Detachable hand controls are fitted to all riser recliners. Enquire with your stockist about Royams Advanced Safety System (A.S.S) which is available as an optional extra

FREE FALL BACK SYSTEM
This unique system is fitted to all Dual Riser Recliners as standard. The unique Free-fall Back System helps to prevent damage to the motors and mechanism if the chair is accidentally reclined against a fixed object. The back will have some movement when in the seated position. This allows the system to function correctly

QUICK RELEASE HANDSET
Ensures there is no unauthorized use of the recliner e.g. by children. Detaching the handset renders the chair inoperable
A uniquely patented 'Power Lift Seat Only'  offers the user a new lease of life in a compact high seat or high backed chair and is designed to assist when standing.

This unique lifting system can be incorporated into Petite, Standard, King or Tailored-to-fit sizes.

RISER RECLINERS
Riser-Recliners

  • TIS Mono
  • Dual
MONO allows the user to operate both the back and the footrest at the same time.

Tilt In Space (TIS) MONO allows the footrest to be partially elevated, the back then reclines and the whole chair tilts on its own axis, causing nil sheer factor on the back. On a TIS recliner, the base moves in harmony with the back. The back does not recline to a nearly flat position.

DUAL motor action allows the user to operate the back and footrest independently. The back will recline to an almost flat position
